The first piece of post-university project work organised by the Cimbali Group and the first Master’s in International Marketing & Sales run by IULM University of Milan concluded in the last few days.
The project work, like no other taken on by the company until now, forms part of one of the many partnerships the company has formed with leading Italian and international universities. And it ended with a “virtual presentation” on an online platform, an effective way of working around the social distancing measures introduced as part of the ongoing health emergency.
Gruppo Cimbali Spa has long-standing partnerships with numerous universities including Milan Polytechnic, Turin Polytechnic, Bocconi University, Cattolica University, the University of Pavia and the University of Milan Bicocca. Its partnership with IULM, coordinated by the HR Department, involved the Marketing & Communication Department, with the brand and MUMAC teams, which together with the directors of the Master’s, Prof. Daniela Corsaro and Prof. Luca Pellegrini, proposed a business case involving 25 students. The aim was to launch a communications plan for the new LaCimbali brand “Technology Heart Human mind Lab” Experience Center set up inside Hangar 100 of MUMAC.
The project work - the first to be carried out in the company - was officially launched in early 2020 and, despite the temporary health emergency situation, was concluded at the end of March with the presentation of the creative ideas, complete with moodboards and videos, made possible by technology.
Unwilling to put this expense of energy to waste, the university team together with the Cimbali Group came up with a presentation method that was adopted for the first time by both parties: a virtual meeting with live ‘coverage’ from the homes of each participant, as well as 30 people watching the presentations of the 5 projects, whose passion, knowledge and freshness was not allowed to go to waste.
The work concluded with some final feedback by the company management which recognised the validity, feasibility, sustainability and high quality of all of the projects, and in the end identified one in particular which was developed with a level of professionalism and creativity worthy of an agency.
